Small brass ankh embossed on both sides with hieroglyphics with a hole for a hanging loop at the top. The ankh symbol represents the concept of eternal life and the Egyptian Gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop; or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest.
When the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon in 1922, the wall paintings show the pharaoh holding an ankh in his hand.
