 - Mr Carson.

Spend a magical day walking back through time, getting to know the real ‘Downton Abbey’ as you tour the State Rooms and Galleried Bedrooms with one of our knowledgeable guides. Unearth the glamour and sophistication of the past through our fabulous exhibition of fashion and style from the previous century.

Get a firsthand look at our exquisitely curated collection of authentic garments from Downton Abbey and beyond. Marvel at the breathtaking craftsmanship, intricate beadwork, and luxurious textiles that defined the pre-war upper class, as well as the fascinating world of the “downstairs”.

Your tour then continues into the Castle cellars to explore the Egyptian Exhibition which celebrates Lord Carnarvon’s discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun, the richest pharaoh’s tomb ever found.

You will also have some time to explore the beautiful gardens in the parkland of Highclere Castle. There is no better time to see the grounds waking up for spring - from the iconic cedars of Lebanon to the intimacy of the Secret Garden and spring bulbs flowing through the Wood of Goodwill.

Following your tour, head to the Coach House Tearooms to enjoy a selection of complimentary refreshments including homemade soup, quiches and delicious mini cakes.

We are able to offer a Vegetarian or Gluten-Free option for these tours. Please select your menu choice from the drop-down menus below.
