There is no need to book a ticket for under 4s. Children of this age will be admitted free of charge.
On the days pre-booked tickets are sold out, there will be tickets for castle/exhibition/garden admission available at 9am (desk closes at 9.45am). You can then find coffee and croissants (the tearooms are open throughout the day). Walk up tickets are circa £3 more than pre-booked tickets & please note there are no concession tickets.
There are three Castle admission times. Please note you are welcome to enter the Castle at any time within your booked window.
However please do explore the Gardens, Tearooms and Gift Shop throughout the day, whichever Castle admission time you choose.
In order to book, please choose a date on the selector below, followed by a ticket type, then your admission time to the Castle. We look forward to seeing you.
• Morning Admission: Admission between 10:00am – 12:30pm
• Midday Admission: Admission between 12:30pm – 2:30pm
• Afternoon Admission: Admission between 2:30pm – 4:00pm (Please do make sure you are within the Castle by 3.30pm at the latest).
Last admission inside the Castle is by 3.30pm. Regardless of your ticket timing, you are welcome to visit the Gardens, Tearooms and Gift Shop throughout the day. The Gardens, Tearooms and Gift Shop all close at 5pm and the park gates at 5:30pm.
Tours of the Castle and Egyptian Exhibition are on a self-guided basis, with guides throughout to provide information and assistance. The main State Rooms & Exhibition are wheelchair accessible, the upstairs gallery is only accessible up staircases for those able to walk unaided - please see this link for further advice.

We offer a Standard Tea Menu, a Vegetarian Menu or a Gluten-Free Menu. These menu options apply to the entire Picnic Box. We are unable to offer mixed menus within one Box. Our Picnic Afternoon Tea Boxes are £75 for two people.

Your tickets are sent by email at the end of the purchase. Please do check your "junk" folder. A copy of your tickets will also be left in your account in this website for you to print whenever you choose before you arrive here.
