Highclere Castle’s Easter Egg Trail

Due to the ongoing wet weather conditions, we have sadly had to make the decision to postpone our Easter Egg Trail. This event will now be taking place on the (hopefully sunnier) date of Saturday 27th April 2024. All ticketholders should now have received an email from us; if you have not please contact theoffice@highclerecastle.co.uk

Please keep hold of your Easter bonnets, we hope you will be able to join us and look forward to seeing you soon!

Please join us on Saturday 27th April where we hope you will enjoy following a trail through Highclere’s gardens and woodland, finding clues en route. At the end, each child will win a chocolate Easter Egg! 

We would very much welcome children to take part in our Easter Bonnet Parade; please do bring your creations along with you. We hope that the children enjoy the bouncy slide (may be subject to an additional charge) and meeting some of our farm animals.

We ask you to kindly pre-book adult tickets and confirm how many children you are bringing so that we can ensure every child receives an Easter egg once they have completed the trail.

The adult garden ticket is £10 per person which gives access to the Easter Egg Trail, Gardens and Grounds, Tea Rooms and Gift Shop. Please note, this ticket does NOT include access to either the Castle or the Egypt Exhibition which are both CLOSED on the day.

We ask each child to give a donation to our chosen charity on the day (suggested donation £5) when they collect their map for the Easter Trail on arrival.

Highclere Castle is proud to support the ‘Murray Parish Trust’ as our chosen charity for this event. This is such a fantastic charity which supports children’s emergency services across the South of England by raising money and awareness to support projects at key trauma centres, to enable pioneering research and provide life-saving equipment.

Our Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at 12 noon and is free to enter with prizes awarded for the most wonderful bonnets.

The Easter Egg Trail will run from
9:30am until 2.30pm
The Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at 12 noon
The event will end at 3:00pm
The Grounds close at 3:00pm

Our "Picnic Afternoon Tea for Two" has sold out for this event. 

Our normal Tea Rooms will, however, be open from 9:30am until 3pm, serving light lunches, snacks, cake, scones and tasty Easter treats.
