Covid-19 Virus UPDATE

Following the policy to control the spread of Covid-19 virus issued by the Government and Public Health England, we are closing the Castle and Grounds from Monday March 23rd. As with Royal Palaces and other Great Houses, we will remain closed until further notice.

We will update our social media and websites in the light of future advice. It is an everchanging time and the strategy of those who lead us will be buffeted daily by the experiences of other countries and nations as well as our own. Thus their increasing knowledge will guide us through the weeks ahead  in these challenging times.

The health of all our staff and visitors is very important to us. The Highclere team's work patterns will reflect the government guidelines and we are a small team so please bear with us over the next few weeks as we reschedule forthcoming tickets to future dates for you.  You will all receive an email offering you the chance to reschedule your visit. We are so very grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you in the future.
