Summer Public Opening 2019
The Castle, Egyptian Exhibition and Gardens will open to the public as follows:
Sunday 7 July – Tuesday 3 September 2019 (closed on Fridays and Saturdays).
Although all our advance booked tickets are sold out for our Summer Season Public Opening , (ending on 3rd September), there are still tickets available for our Castle Tours, Costumes & Cocktails weekend on Saturday, 7th September and Sunday 8th September. Please click HERE for more information and to purchase.
Note: for holders of advance tickets for our Summer Public Opening, Morning tickets allow entry to the Castle and Exhibition between 10:30am and 1pm. Afternoon tickets allow entry to the Castle and Exhibition between 1pm and 4pm. Last entry time is 4pm.
The Castle closes at 5pm and the Estate closes at 6pm. Once you are in the Castle you are not timed so you may enter anytime between the allocated times above.
The Estate opens at 9:30am. Visitors are welcome to visit the Gardens and Grounds all day. The Castle Tearooms are open from 9:30am. The Gift Shop will be open from 9:30am until 5pm.
Please note that your tickets will not be posted to you. They are sent by email at the end of the purchase. On completion of your order, your tickets will be left in your account in this website for you to print before you arrive here.
Please note No Dogs are allowed on the grounds during the summer.

Please print your tickets and bring them along with you on the day of your visit.
Due to the popularity of the Castle, tickets purchased for a given date and entrance time cannot be exchanged, refunded or re-dated.
In order to avoid fraudulent tickets, please bring the credit/debit card used to pay for your admission tickets to present when you visit the Castle. If this is a problem, please ring the office on 01635 253210. Thank you for your help and cooperation.
