Christmas at Highclere

Dear Friend,

My latest book “Christmas at Highclere: Recipes and traditions from the Real Downton Abbey” shares many of our stories, the beautiful photographs and delicious recipes which go towards making Christmas here such a magical experience.

Our Christmas events take their inspiration from these themes whether it is tips on preparation and planning, in late November, to decorating and shopping, or singing carols together by our Christmas tree, enjoying Christmas afternoon teas, and dining with us in the State Dining Room.

We hope children will come and find Santa’s Grotto on the weekend nearer Christmas whilst, as a finale, Charles Dickens’ great great grandson, Gerald Dickens, will join us to read excerpts from A Christmas Carol.
